This question is for people who grew up with the cartoon.

I myself never grew up with the cartoon but remember i wanted to watch it many times but never got to. When i saw the movie i really liked it. I thought it was hilarious. When i finally did watch the cartoon, i thought it was even better. So my question is, for people who grew up with the cartoon, how was the movie to you? Did you like it? hate it? Think it was okay? and why. Im just curious because i know cartoons of the past that later seem to want by hollywood to go live action and people either love or hate the idea.
