Why isn't it more popular??
When I first saw this I watched it two times in a row that's how good it was. Everyone talks about other animated movies like Despicable Me and Cars, but this is just as good, if not better.
(and it deserves way more than a 6.8!)

My perception, from my recollections of 2007, is that Disney didn't promote it very much, and my guess as to why is that they may have felt, or learned, that younger kids would not understand the time-travel aspect, and such strange elements as Lewis being Wilbur's father, and Lewis meeting himself as a grownup.

That's true--I remember noticing that this movie wasn't promoted much at all during the time of its release.

I don't know why it isn't more popular because it is by far my favorite animated film. The scene at the end when they buy the planetarium and take Lewis to see it...and he sighs in contentment...just heart tugging.

It's 6.9 now. There's a good chance it will hit 7.0 within the next year.

The story is king.
It is one of the smartest, well written, excellent characters, plot twist with Goob, funny lines and great tagline "Keep Moving Forward" animated movies I have seen. Period!

Disney movies that arent princess movies or don't also involve a love story aren't very popular. For example Big Hero 6, gel reattach movie but wasn't very popular.
I remember being a kid and this movie was advertised all the time on there. I don't know it just didn't appeal to a lot of kids?
