I bought this movie thinking it was good, clean, wacky mormon hijinks, liek the Singles Ward and The RM, but it turns out to be about a gay porn star. It was also a different cast from the usual Halestorm players.
Were you intoxicated when you watched the movie? How did you manage to pull a "gay porn star" out of the mix? Unless you were joking about that reference, I feel you have got to be a little less than perceptive.
Personally, I found the movie hilarious. The theatrical version looked fuzzy because it was filmed digitally, but watching the DVD proved to be much more enjoyable. I give it 4.6 out of 5 stars just based on comedic relief. Peter Brown's character's (Grayson's) reactions were well done and an often overlooked highlight of the film.
ROTFL. I think he was a victim of the DVD mixup. Some of the Sons of Provo DVDs got mixed up by the distribution company (non-LDS) so they got packaged with a movie about a gay porn star. Return your DVD to Halestorm for a copy of the actual (and very funny) movie.
Why did David Nutter play himself in this film? He's a producer/director, but I don't see him listed on full cast/crew. Is he LDS? Or from this area or what?
