Please remove the killings from your mind. To me this film beautifully demonstrates the purity if innocence and beauty of love . A man who smells a pure heart but unable to express it. He bottled it and wanted to share it and see its power. The ending showed how it one can be consumed by it. He poured the last phial on those that needed it the most.

Like a good perfume you have the top notes (the immediate reaction), the middle notes (the feeling throughout) and the bottom not (the lasting feeling). The murders may be grotesque, but understanding the characters motive and the beautiful way in which it is captured overtakes any uneasyness and leaves you with a lasting appreciation of true beauty.
