Stephen Bauer
Heard this was Mr. Bauer's come back movie, can anyone confirm that. I am a huge fan of his and would love to see him doing great work again.

He is a revelation in this little movie, a really heart felt performance.
Powerful, he is the most fully drawn of all the characters in the story.
He's a kind of bumbling gangster at the begining, who is bossed around like a tart by this prissy, kind of town hoodlum. Then as he gets his confidence by training the pit fighter to become a star fighter, and making money, he starts to look at life differently.
It's a brave choice for Bauer, and I think it pays off!
I hadn't seen any of his other movies, except for Scarface, of course. But I've been using this site to track down his work, it's tricky in this flea bitten village, my local video shop doesn't exactly have a library.
