Fake show, no way these cars pass inspection...

This show is so scripted and fake.

Firstly there is no way that any of these cars pass the state inspection and no way are they road legal. I mean some cars don't even have working tail lights, can't even go into reverse, can't go over 40 mph, don't even have a hood etc.

Secondly why is it that all the contestants live in the same neighborhood it seem like? All of them live in the exact same type of house.

Thirdly if they did live in those houses in LA then it must mean they have at least SOME money to not be driving around the dump that they are actually driving, LA real estate is expensive.

Wasn't there one where Mike made flames come out of the tailpipe and then he was called into the office and was told it wasn't street legal and to take it out?

I think he means 'before' it gets pimped. So some young guy or girl never takes care of their car and then they get a pimped ride. I'm guessing they still don't take good care of their fixed up ride...

like the guy who'd got gramma's oldsmobile, but he'd never even emptied out the ashtrays...

Reality is a nice place to visit, but i wouldn't want to live there
