In Australia it is known as 'Silly Movie 2'

This has finally been released in Australia (Jan 28) under the alternate title of 'SILLY MOVIE 2'

yeah, they should have called "S.H.I.T.T.Y movie 2"

It's not funny at all, It's not a sequel to anything but maybe the other bomb, Epic Moive. There is NO "silly movie 1", It's not funny at all, It was made in 2004 and renamed in 2008 for Australian release, wtf is that about?

And It's not funny at all.

I thought the movie was ok. Better then Epic Movie and the joke worked I actually went looking for the first one.

In Germany, it's also been released on DVD in 2008 under the title "Silly Movie 2.0" and the logo is exactly like "Epic Movie", also the characters around the logo. They definitly want to make people think it's "Epic Movie 2" so they buy it.

*beep* Movie 2" would have been a much better title.
i saw it online and it was just as awful as the other random parody movies.

Apparently according to the Blockbuster magazine they chose Silly Movie 2 so that it could be seen to tie in with the (Genre) movie franchise (I saw this new movie that got released on DVD this month called Sports Movie but was originally called The Comebacks but changed to tie in with the franchise) and the 2 in the title was meant to spoof how every movie nowadays have sequels.
