Anne Heche gave an extraordinary performance as the delinquent mother, which should have earned her an Oscar nomination.

"made for tv" movies aren't eligible for Oscars, but she could have easily garnered an Emmy nod for this. I don't know if she did or did not get nominated for this role.

Both Anne and Katherine Bell did a great job in this movie.

I put the fun in dysfunction!

Good performance. I enjoyed despising her character. I've just read Anne Heche's IMDb biography. It seems that she had a strange childhood herself.
