Great, low-key performances, heavy mood/ambiance, lots of texture, engrossing...reminds me of what "independent" films used to be like. neat.

I agree!

Though the Russian actress has been pretty badly critiqued on this board, man she was great at portraying abject lonliness with more than a hint of quiet, suppressed desperation. I thought she was brilliant.

On top of that plus the ever loved Rip Torn, we get to see Ed Chigliak (Darren Burrows) from Northern Exposure looking and acting beautiful(ly).

I am sorry I saw this movie and it was not good at all, it was quite boring.

I didn't want it to end! I was floored by the lead performances. Glad I came upon it in On Demand.

I really enjoyed this movie, although I wouldn't recommend it to most people. One has to like the slow moving, sparse tone. Most people do not like these type of movies, but I love them. I found it haunting, well acted and realistically written, especially the dialogue.
