darklighta series?

Am I the only one to whom this seems like a pilot for a series rather than a stand alone movie. It might not have been a bad series on Sci-fi channel.

I completely agree, it would make a really interesting show.... or at least a mini series. It seems a waste to make it a stand alone movie... oh well.

I would have loved to have watched this as a series. I agree making it a stand alone movie is a waste.

I would bet money, if I had any, that this WAS a pilot that was never picked up, for whatevwer reason. What's odd about it is that such pilots rarely see the light of day. Anyway, I have watched it more than once because I'm a huge fan of Richard Burgi. The idea is excellent and the producton not bad except for Appleby's acting. I haven't seen her before; I hope, for her sake, she's usually better than this. The production also would have been stronger, IMHO, if the story had been told from her character's perspective the entire time.

Somehow I downloaded this film. Probably part of search sci-fi movies. From the beginning it seemed a pilot, because actors in it were only "tv-quality". John de Lancie is good actor, but too Q, so for the very beginning I thought he must be the bad guy. And then Richard Burgi, which I also like since Sentinel, seemed to be good guy. Shiri Abbleby was huge disappointment. I "fell in love" with her when i first saw her in Roswell. In this she wasn't even acting and she wasn't so good loking anymore. Not really good looking heroine.

This film had some good ideas to continue a good B-class scifi-series, but acting was very poor and CGI stuff was even worse. There was nothing to remember or copy for some other show, because there weren't any original ideas. Somehow dark motorbike heroine brought dark angel in to my mind.
