Well, it would make sense based on what I believe is the real message of "Boundin'". If you ask me, it's a pretty sassy little allegory of the Disney/Pixar relationship. In essence, Pixar is saying to the world, "Yes, we know we're getting fleeced by Disney--we do all the work, and they rake in all the cash from the merchandise associated with our films--but we're making the most of the situation. We're going to rebound."

And they managed to slip all that into the intro of a film stamped with the Disney logo. Very clever, those folks at Pixar.

In my opinion it symbolises "being cool". That is, "I don't give a fu*k what you say about me... I just go on my own way...".
