Weird machine...

Over both of the keyboards during his show was a weird sort of box with an antenna on top of it. occasionally during songs, Bill would move his hand near to the antenna and it made a sort of screaming noise. What was this? I thought it was really cool!

It's called a theroman. It's actually very difficult to play. The vertical controls the pitch, the horizontal controls the notes, and the depth controls the volume.

I think one of Bill's best use of the theromin was in 'Bewilderness' when he's doing the 'Belgian Jazz'. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you really should watch it, as it kick-starts the music in the stand-up in a very funny and unique way.

Well, I heard somewhere that he has a degree in music, so it makes sense. I can't believe how many instruments he plays. He's a one-man band...unless you've seen Cosmic Jam.

I think you mean a "Theremin". Loads of fun to play, not that hard either. It's just not an instrument in the same way as a piano or a guitar.
