SUCKS!!!!

This was a really bad movie!!!

I'm currently watching the beginning at 1:30 in the morning, and immediately I realized that the creature is a blatant ripoff of both Giger's Alien and Winston's Predator. Notice the head and mandibles, and the tail? RIP-OFF!

... and the whole "scientists using DNA for a weapon" subplot has been done to freaking DEATH!

EDIT: even the music is a ripoff of both movies.

I was looking forward to seeing this movie for two weeks. The previews led me to believe it was going to be a duel between a genetically engineered human(Talon) and a alien hybrid, but as grrdevin said,it was just another Alien/predator ripoff.I watched it twice and I still can't understand some of the things that took place, almost like trying to understand a mini-series that was edited down to two hours. The constant moving of the camera during the action scenes and the green tint didn't help either. The only good part was the thirty second fight scene between Talon and the creature.

Hey I went to bed before the ending and I sure as 'ell ain't renting this puppy, so can you tell me what happened after the part where the guy's running from the thing and yells at them to shoot at it and the scientist or whatever he was couldn't activate his gun and they get in the elevator? Directly after that, thanks, and the rest of the movie if you don't mind typing.

Well I sure can't blame you for not staying up to watch the rest of it,I watched all of it because I refused to let this movie beat me.It will be on again on Thursday,I believe,in case you want to give it another shot.It took ideas from other scifi movies and tried to make them work, but only succeeded in making one big mess.

Okay, they're on the run from this thing, getting picked off one at a time,so naturally that's when one of the soldiers reveals he's working for the military(I thought they all were) and starts killing them too.His orders are to retrieve the stone(you remember the stone, don't you?) and leave no survivors. He also came prepared with a hand held nuke,to blow up the entire installation.Well, the mad scientist, who is somehow able to lead the creature around like a puppy now, won't have that, because he's got about a hundred of these little baby creatures he wants to protect. So he kills the traitor and takes his nuke, and unleashes all the little creatures. There's a touching scene where Talon has to leave her wounded friend behind to get eaten by the creature,or at least it would have been touching if the writers showed that they were close! It's down to Talon, the crazy hacker guy,the mad scientist, the creature, and a hundred little creatures now.Talon devises a plan to lure the creature away while the crazy hacker guy,who turns out to be the hero, gets the nuke.Somehow Talon manages to stab te creature in the mouth, through the brain, killing it(bullets can't hurt it,but a blade can kill it),while the hacker guy shoots the mad scientist, takes the nuke, and lets the little creatures eat the scientist. The hacker and Talon escape, only to be met at the exit by the general, who wants the stone(appearantly 101 of those creatures aren't enough for the military).Well they're a little upset by now so they lock him in the installation, where he is eaten by the little cratures.Talon and the hacker escape in a helicopter as the nuke wipes out half the continent.Jst before the movie ends, the hacker gives Talon a "iodine pill for the radiation",then says into his communicator something like,"mission was a success, the general went cowboy though, but I've got her",then it ends, leaving the viewer totally confused.

*Finally wakes up* Oh um, nice review. That movie's full of so many cliches it bores me to tears... Did you notice any similarities betwixt this and Alien/Predator/anything else?

Reminds me of that line from Jabberwocky: "You really are a big disappointment to me Dennis!" - Mr. Fishfinger

i like most sci-fi movies. this was an exception. it was hard to watch it. i was trying to give it the benefit of the doubt and watched it from start to finish. it was a waste of my time. the least they could've done was have more girls and show more skin. ;-)

reply

Well I didn't watch all of it, but the parts I did, I actually liked. Mindlessly killing things can be fun. And I like (most) alien movies anyway, so it's all good.

It sure was bad. Not worthy of the title "movie". More of a cheap ripoff of previous efforts.
