Defying Gravity

Gee, I thought there'd be a lot more activity on this board, now that Defying Gravity has begun airing on ABC!

It's being referred to as Grey's Astronomy, but I was actually quite satisfied with it, in terms of writing, acting, set design and visual effects.
(The cinematographer, Stephen McNutt, worked on the recent Virtuality and on BSG)

They even copied the design of the Pegasus almost down to the last detail, and the Mission Control Center looks almost exactly like the one in SO:VttP.
Their Flight Surgeon is named Claire Dereux, and even sports the same hairstyle and fashion sense as the original Claire Granier.

I liked that they tipped their hat to the original with this line right after launch...
"First step on Antares' voyage to the planets!"

So many cool little details I liked that are hard to describe, but the easiest one is how the hatches slide out and away on tracks shaped exactly like the ones on the ISS!

I hope Chris Riley comes back to the Boards to talk about the new show. I'd like to hear what he thinks of it.
