Nighty Night Songs

I'm trying to compile a list of the songs from Nighty Night.

So far I've got;

Ennio Morricone - My Name is Nobody (Theme tune)
Heart - Alone (Funeral scene)
Marillion - Lavender (church group scene where Jill and Linda do the dance)
Justin Timberlake - Like I Love You (played before one of the salon scenes)
Kylie - I'm Spinning Around (when Jill drowns out Cathy's call at Jill's "party")
Boston - More Than a Feeling (from the new series at the end of ep 1)
Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water (from the new series, when they are dancing round the fire)

If you know any more please post them. I know there's a few I've missed. Like what was the one where she gives Don the breakfast and she starts dancing to something on the radio? And also, what was the one she was pole dancing to?

Thanks!

I can remember 'Bootie Call' by the All Saints, when it cuts to the beauty salon at some point.

Don't forget

Here I go again - Whitesnake
China in your hand - T'Pau
My Sharona - The Knack

Likes her rock ballads does Jill :)

There's one by Gabriel played a couple of times, when Don goes into the pub, but I don't know what it's called.

Hi - I would really like to know what the song at the end of series 2 episode 3 is, where the couple are getting busy on the boat. Thanks.

reply

Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd played at some point during the beach party. Was it when they were on the boat?

reply

The song at the end of last weeks ep with Cath and Don on the boat was 'Keep On Loving You' by Reo Speedwagon

reply

Of course, there's the opening from Elgar's Cello Concerto at various points during the first series (particularly at the funeral, and when Jill suffocates Terry with the pink pillow.)

reply

Series 1 - Episode 6.

Does anyone know what song is playing at the start fo the episode where Jill looks out of her bedroom to see Terry playing with the dog in garden? It's an acoustic/folky type song, very different from all the rock ballards used in the rest of the series!

Someone please help!!!

"Yes I can read your thoughts, and I am better than you"

People seem to have missed (from the first series)

"Lady" by Modjo (Jill dancing for David in the living room) and "Boom Boom Boom Boom" by the dratted Vengaboys (at Terry's post-funeral service bash)

Also: in cutting to the Salon, we had that irritating Madison Avenue's "Don't Call Me Baby" and Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time".

If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air®

The intro from All About Eve's -'Martha's Harbour' was played in the first episode from the new series. It was a scene which showed the sea. I remember getting excited when I heard it!

Everyone must go through McGregor, it's a game of chance remember!

what's the song playing in episode 6 of the 2nd series? it's when Jill is dancing for don in the kitchen!

"Lisa, Vampires are make-believe, like elves, gremlins, and eskimos." - Homer Simpson

If you've got itunes, I've created a Nighty Night iMix. It's got 25 songs on, including some of the more obscure ones, so you can use it as a bit of a library.

To find it click on iMix in the itunes store then just search for Nighty Night. You'll only get one result!

have this in a torrent, perhaps? or compressed for something like megaupload?

thanks!

reply

This replacement would be because they have issues getting clearance for home video and dvd sometimes, exactly the same happened with the Rock Profile dvd and numerous films over the years. It's also the reason why no more Malcolm in the Middle dvds have been released since season 1.

reply

Series two has Dolly Parton's "Jolene", haha.
