Opinion Poll: Impact of the cameras?

I just started watching this show now that Lifetime is rerunning it and I'm really curious . . . . . do you think customers are really that much of an ass on a regular basis or do they just act worse because they're performing for the cameras? . . . . or do you think that they have to shoot hundreds of hours of film just to put together a 30 minute show? (hahahahahaha) ‘Cuz these folks are freakin’ certifiable ! ! ! ! !

I read another post that suggested that airline personnel frequent this Board so I’m hoping some of them will comment on this topic. The highlighted customers definitely represent humanity at its worst.

From someone who works for an airline as a customer service agent, I can certainly say the behavior of these passengers is in fact very real! see it everyday in my line of work. While I'm sure some of the episodes are cropped in the studio, I can't begin to tell you how many times I get cursed at because some idiot thought having a beer was more important than getting on his or her flight. Then they claim they will never fly the airline again and we see those same people a week later. The airline is always the villain no matter what.

I work at a hotel, and I can assure you that, YES, people DO act like that! Like you said, they do edit it into a 30 minute format, but as busy as they are, I am sure they filmed a week at a time and got more than enough footage.
