When the bags end up fitting...

I was just watching an episode with a short, chubby black lady arguing with the gay, (Latin?) guy (sorry, I don't remember their names), and I was so disappointed when her bag fit! Lol. It's like having that fight with your parents and you're sure they're just overreacting or being too strict, and then when you sneak out, everything they warned you about actually happens!

He was just doing his job. I don't care if she does do this every week, there was no need for her to be so rude. And that's why I could never handle that job, because the moment she started yelling, I would have just turned the old "you're too angry, which can scare the passengers, and I have the authority to prevent you from boarding!" (Was he not able to do that? Would that have been abusing his power? It would have made sense to me.)

I was so disappointed when it fit. I got a shot of excitement and hope when the guy at the gate checked it again, and then...damn!

While I do not remeber that particular incident, I am sure it happened something like this:

Customer happy because she has done this many times without incident.
Employee determines on their own something is wrong and instead of looking into it they arbitraily decide the bag will not fit. They tell the customer this.

THAT is when the customer gets mad.

So many time a customer is fine until they are told they can not get thier flight, many time through no fault of their own. They, understandably get angry. All they want to do is be on the flight. The employees then say they do not want the customer on the plane because they are upset. IF THEY EMPLOYEE DID NOT PISS OFF THE CUSTOMER THERE WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM. ONCE THE CUSTOMER IS ON THE PLANE THEY WILL NOT LONGER BE MAD. It is that simple.

But then you have to ask yourself "If she gets that mad, in that small amount of time, is she really fit to fly?" What if she did that at 30,000 feet and actually caused harm to the crew or the plane?

Reminder: The O.C. resets to its first episode on POP network April 1 @ 2 p.m. EST

I agree! I wanted that stupid, rude woman to get her comeuppance. She was right, OK? But what a B. Sh e could have said "well, I have put this bag in the overhead on other occasions, let's see shall we?"
