Why did this game bomb?

Too different?

It's not a sequel and it's not based on anything.

If it were one of those (as most games are), it would have fans before it was released and sell like hotcakes.

It's because of the milkman.

funny games just don't sell

rendez-vous à l'univers

Ditto with stalkercat. Most gamers perfer shooters.

Personally, I think it was because the game case wasn't impressive. It looked like something you would see on a disney movie spin-off game.

Because majority of gamers rather play serious games like... Army of Two, or Gears of War. /hatred and irony

Also because it wasn't PR'd right.

I think [the title of the latest Hollywood blockbuster] is the greatest movie ever made!

Seeing as how it received massive critical acclaim it can't be blamed on the game being negative in any way. Honestly, some games just get overlooked especially when they don't receive a lot of pr or buzz. I didn't hear about it until X-Play reviewed it and then I hadn't heard a single thing until about a decade later. It's like Beyond Good & Evil and Eternal Darkness - a great game that just didn't get the attention it deserved at the time.
