Hotel Rwanda is a more true to life drama film, and Blood Diamond tends to be a more typical Hollywood flick. It depends on what you want to see.
If a film doesn't excel in three areas (dialog, acting, etc) I will NOT rate it above a 7.
Blood Diamond would be better since its more action.

well hotel rwandan is an excellent film but really it does not show the real carnage of what happened like shindler's list or the pianist.

I liked both movies, but I think that blood diamond was a lot better, and the performances were amazing (well, leo's and djimon's, because jeniffer connely was "bleh").

you thought djimon was good? I thought he was a bit over the top in a few scenes, but it could be that his character could be beyond stupid sometmes (just a few times though, I was generally on board with him). I'd say the best performance between the films is tied between Don Cheadle and Leo DiCapprio.
shareDepends. If you want to get more action intensity and be shocked by what's happening onscreen, go with Blood Diamond. If you want more emotional intensity and be shocked by seeing the aftermath of what happened onscreen, go with Hotel Rwanda
