I'm not even a Spanish-speaker, but I thought this was one of the stand-out best movies I've seen in 10 years!
Not only was the acting FLAWLESS from everyone involved, but the humor and social commentary were so elevated... really impressive.
I've seen de la Iglesia's other movies, but this is my FAVORITE.
My husband and I usually disagree about movies, but we both found EL CRIMEN FERPECTO...well... it was FERPECTO!!

I heard rumors that there may be an american remake. I don't thik I would like that though.

The only director who could handle this kind of theme is indie director Todd Solondz... however he does not have a fraction of Iglesia's visual style and technical skill!
This movie was hilarious, I laughed out loud at every damn joke.
Admitedly I tuned in to watch the movie cause I thought it was going to feature lotsa sex, but it turned out much better! 9/10
cool: Watch it again a SECOND time. You will catch many funny details that you did not notice in the first viewing.
