Press materials in English + dvd out to buy

If you want to read lots of excellent material about the Alatriste film, the people at fan site Viggo-works have taken the enormous trouble of translating everything that they could find on the Spanish press, including some superb photos. As there's hardly anything out there in English, I'm sure you'll enjoy it enormously.

Then, the film is coming out to buy on dvd next week. The Spanish release has subtitles in English and French, but I don't know how well they would play in American machines, what with the region codes and all.

Very interesting. Thanks so much for the info. Just one question do you know if the special features in the Alatriste DVD will have ]English subtitles as well?

They don't. I just got my DVD ordered from Fnac online (easy to do) yesterday, and while the feature has options for English and French subtitles, the extras don't. Still worth watching, and mostly people speak slowly enough to get most of it.

Forgot to say that I have a multi-region DVD player. If you're not in Europe, you'll probably need one.

I received my dvd today (bought from fnac-es) I didn't buy the special edition so I didn't have any extras. But although it says in the box that it has English and French subtitles and Spanish for hard of hearing it didn't come with French Subtitles at all.
