Season 3

It's a bit hit n miss I think,
I've seen every episode of the series and it's fair to say that it's quality never remains constant - it's either hilarious or terrible

Season has gone something like this:

1. The Radio Station - 2/10. Aside from that cool little spinning newspaper sequence at the start, this episode sucked ass.

2. The Sports Day - 7/10. Some nice ideas. We had a 20 something year old guy playing against a group of children in a game of hurling, A race between two rival priests and Father Philip Eno had good part in this episode. It misses a top mark becuase it's just a little too similar to Father Ted

3. The School yeat - 4/10. After a pretty funny opener with Pa Connors making a deal with the Japanese Mafia of Killinaskully, this episode had little else to offer.

4. The Driving Test - 6/10. Me thinks Pat Shortt felt right at home wwith this one. His humour came across quite well in this battle of the sexes and it had just enough good jokes in it to merit a viewing.

5. Cheese Dreams - 8/10. Let me just say well done to writers behind this episode. The three segments all had their moments, but the one that stood out amoung the others was Jimmy's Zombie dance, it was well performed and mimiced Michael Jackson's version very well. The hospital segment was the next best, though I think it may have been funnier if "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" was actually playing and not just being sung by the actresses, also the audience laugh was an excellent idea though it could have been implemented a little better. The Robin hood bit was okay, but easily the worst of the three. I like how Larry Cummins was cast as Friar Tuck and the scene where Timmy got impaled with the knife "it's only flesh wound".
And you know what else was very interesting about this episode? I found that as soon as the three segments were over the show returned to it's slow, dull pace. The reason - Killinaskully needs to be far more off beat than it currently is, We need less scenes with the three boys sittting at the bar counter calling each other "Liudir", and more time spent on energetic and original scenes. I would really love to see this show go places
