My God! The Vintage costume and set design is amazing!

I have not seen the film, but have seen hundreds of production stills and are simply astonished at the accurate capture of the look and feel of the 70s. Everything, from outfits to HAIRstyles to room designs to furniture just screams 1970s! These people look like they just stepped out of a time capsule! Amazing! I've seen my fair share of movies that supposedly are set in the 1970s and they get it all wrong. This really looks authentic from a production design point of view. Kudos to the filmmakers!

Dr. Kila Marr was right. Kill the Crystalline Entity.

when you see this movie you won't be disapointed with the 70's look plus the movie is very tongue in cheek..a very good effort from Anna Biller

Just saw it last night. The set design and costumes are first rate no doubt about it. I think there was a problem with the pacing, though. I could see about half an hour being cut which might make the story flow better.

Much better film than her earlier efforts!

When I watched the film, I honestly believed it was a restoration of a genuine 1970s movie; it never occurred to me that it was anything but.

When I found out afterward that it was recently made, I felt a bit ripped off. What was the point? The acting was so fake, the plot and characters superficial, I found it slightly interesting when I believed that it was a genuine example of film history, but really what is the point of emulating old dreck? It's been compared to Far From Heaven by Todd Haynes, but seriously, Far From Heaven was a good movie with good actors that could stand by itself even without reference to the Sirk genre melodramas.
