12 yrs ago I posted here saying this was the worst movie I'd EVER seen

4 year after that, I posted here saying, "4 years ago I posted here saying this is the worst movie I'd ever seen."

Then after that, about 4 years ago from today, I posted how 8 years prior, this had and remained the worst movie I'd ever seen.

Well, I'm 28 now. I first posted on this board when I was around 16, 17.

And this is still.
The worst.
Movie.
I have ever seen.

I have not in the past ~12 or so years encountered anything as boring, nonsensical, random, or whispery as this pile of trash.

It shouldn't even exist.

This was Definately the STUPIDEST film I've ever seen and I'm a good bit older than you so that's saying a lot. One of those movies you watch and say "what the F is this nonsense?" Seriously, who wrote this junk? I finally came on her and it has a 7.1 and my jaw dropped. I figured it would be pretty universal that this movie would be a joke. Then I see it is a "satire" and an attempt at "film noir" but I dismiss that and say it's just junk.

In no way is it a satire, and I would contend it is a straight Film Noir rather than a neo-Noir or even an "homage" to Film Noir.

Whether you like it or not is up to you. I will need a second viewing to make my own mind up, but it is good to see someone attempting something really different.

My aren't we the little hipsters, hating something that's awesome that most people agree is a great movie.

This is still one of my favorite movies. If you found it boring, ok, but nonsensical or random, I don't know why you would think that, unless it's the fact that it's teenagers enacting adult situations. Not sure how whispery applies.

Anyway, anytime someone says "it's the worse movie I have ever seen", I know I'm not going to see a post worthy of opinion, because if it really is the worst movies you've ever seen and it is true, you couldn't have watched many movies.

Maybe you just can't get over what the movie was supposed to be; high school kids in adult situations they would never be in, but for what it was, a noir film in that setting, it was amazing. The story, the writing, the acting, I love it.

Are you a time traveler?! This movie only came out 10 years ago!

But you've only been a member on the site for 9 years...

It was an ok movie. I thought it was a little stupid at first, like, why wouldn't a teenage just call the police when he found the body instead of playing detective by himself. Well, like someone said, it's about teenagers enacting adult situations.

reply

Too bad for you. Give it a few more decades. You'll catch on.

I watched it and was left cold. One of those low budget dramas that gets a ridiculous amount of positive reviews. Wish I could have seen what was so good about it. Not the worst thing I ever saw though.

Rian Johnson did well out of it though. I loved Looper and Knives Out.

Be real, this can't be, in no way, the "worst" movie you've ever seen. And you say it's boring or nonsensical (must be talking about the plot) but a movie is way more than just "plot". Like it's a movie, not a novel.
