Stacy gives high heels a bad name

We all know wearing high heels makes our legs look great. We wear them on our night out, but wtf, not everyday, everyday, we go for comfort, I'm short and hate flats, I'm having a hard time finding 1 1/2 inch everyday go to the supermarket shoes. It's just stillettos or flats, 1.5 inches? where is the happy medium.

On this show, its like there is no "happy medium."
A woman is ALWAYS placed into high heels.
I only wear them once in a blue moon for formal occassions.
And my skechers 97% of the time. ;)

There have been plenty of episodes where they've recommended flats and non-athletic sneakers for those girls who couldn't do the heels, but usually the girls buy the heels themselves on Shopping Day One.

Yes, we sometimes see flats, that's great, but we seldom see shoes with a heel 2 inch or a little less. That's my point, I'm on a search for comfortable everyday shoes, just under two inches. I'll admit at shoe stores, It's difficult to find anything but flats or over 2 inch heels.

On the show they have also recommended kitten heels, which are very short or barely there heels--the only reason I know this term is b/c of the show. My friend wears kitten heels regularly, and I think she finds them in stores like DSW or Aldo (we live in Boston). Also, I was trying to find some fancy shoes for my sister, who has orthopaedic issues, and I typed kitten heels into the search box at Zappos.com, and we got a bunch of short heels and they were very stylish. Zappos is also advertised on the show, even though I already knew about it. I'm gonna try and post a link to a pair of shoes that we picked out that were really nice, if a little expensive:

Also here's a "kitten heel" search:

I noticed that they even have a heel height filter on left-hand side.

Payless Shoestore also has alot of kitten heels. Have several myself. My problem is trying to find summer flats; you know, white, ivory, pastel. Everything is winter colors.

I love giant platform 6 inch lucite heels BUT I could never wear them.
My ankles would be broken within 0.7 secconds.

I think that they stress high heels to get most of the 'frumpy' dressers out of their comfort zone. I don't think that the people being made over are expected to wear heels every day.

Also, I think it's worth mentioning that Stacy does do endorsements for Dr. Scholl's inserts and pads for high heels to make them more bearable for long wear.

I wear a ton of wedges and shoes with a 1"-2" heel. I don't think they are too hard to find... Target has some cute suede wedges with about a 2" heel right now.

Heels give themselves bad names, especially stilettos. Rarely do I see high heels that do not make women look like streetwalkers of some kind. But yeah, low heels are fine.

Heels are damaging and painful. I'm lucky, I'm tall, and I wear flats or kittens all the time. If I were short . . . I think I'd just stay short!

Please put some dashes above your sig line so I won't think it's part of your dumb post.

Many ladies here have proven that short heels are not rocket science, you just gotta see what's out there.

Mainly I'm confused about how one's plight to find suitable footwear equates Stacy London giving heels a bad name. Colour me confused.

I ain't bovered.

Since I started this, I'll comment, maybe the subject was a little harsh, but there is a time to wear very high heels, it is when you will not be doing a lot of standing or walking. Or, It is when you are seriously in the dating scene and don't mind discomfort in the hunt. But for most of us, high heels are special occasion shoes. Two pairs for most of us would suffice.

When I'm giving that important presentation to a client or my boss, I need to be focused on the subject matter, not thinking about my pinched toes or being wobbly while on my feet during a pressure packed time. There is a happy medium.

Beauty is pain I suppose. I am sure if Stacy had a choice she would pick to wear shorter heels on the show. Stacy made the decision to wear taller heels because Clinton is a tall person (literally, I met him in person) and it is understandable Stacy didn't want to look like a midget every time they had to work together on the show.
