So, I would love to know more details of the now infamous balloon family

I honestly don't watch this show. After seeing snips of it from time to time, I watched the motocross family installment and could not stand it. Not that I am putting anyone down who does watch it. It is just not my cup of tea.

Anyway, now I am curious (read: nosey) what fans of this show thought of the family profiled that is currently in a media storm right now after the balloon incident.

I think that this news story is just nuts, especially if speculations are true that it was all rigged.

The dad is a crazy *beep* the mom is pretty nice and fairly normal but very loyal to her *beep* crazy husband, and the kids all seem like your average boys.

Thank you for the reply. I was looking up their name online and came across the Youtube music video of that vile song that the boys made. Wow, that is pretty disturbing that the father would orchestrate something like that. I have a feeling there is a lot going on with this man.

Richard may be crazy, but he seems like a pretty good father (more of a best friend to his kids than a father I guess). Still can't believe he faked the whole thing though, what a shame.

I have watched and enjoyed episodes of this program. Although, it is obvious that they intentionally pair up polar opposites, but, that is TV, right? Anyway, I am really interested inseeing said episode. I think it would help America get a feel for the family. The accusations leveled against this family are pretty serious. Facing the possibility of losing their children to Children Youth Services, also, the potential for reimbursement to the authorities for the cost of the search. They shut down an International Airport. I see from a press release from ABC that they are NOT going to rebroadcast the episode. Does anyone know if it is available online? If so where? ABC should rebroadcast the show, like I said, it will give us a feel for the family.

I really don't think they set this p, after seeing clips of the program, these folks are the "I don't discipline our children" type. So maybe this kid may have climbed in and let the teather go, or at least that is what the faher may have thought.

Any other thoughts on this subject, family, program?

They just reran this episode earlier this week, before the balloon thing happened. The dad seemed absolutely bat *beep* crazy, a total loose cannon, and the mother a little bit so herself. They both yelled and screamed a lot (not at the kids, but at the spouses they traded with). I found the whole balloon ordeal hysterical because the wife this boy's family "swapped" with was like the safety police. Didn't even let her own kids ride their bikes down a hill by their house cause it was too "dangerous". So while the balloon ordeal was going on, I was just imagining the other wife seeing it all and thinking to herself "I told you so!" LOL

LOL Yeah, I would have liked to see Karen Martel [the safety mom] on these TV outlets talking about the Heene Family, rather than Sheree Silver [the psycho..I mean Psychic Mom that swapped with the Heene Mom the second time they were on Wife Swap], who I find just off the wall crazy, and her 'accent' is annoying.

Oh, I didn't know they were on twice! Yeah, the "psychic's" accent sounds more like a speech impediment. So annoying.
