why is it always about feminism?

why? almost every episode is about a family with a masogonistic dad, while the other family has a mom in control.

Because it gets good ratings.

Why does that mean it's "about feminism"? It's about differing ways of life, and they look for families to switch that will be likely to have opposing viewpoits to create a power struggle of sorts...that what makes interesting TV. They also do this with religious differences, lifestyle differences ( ie: the "military" family vs. the "fat" family), and many other differing ways of life. There are still families where things are "traditional" ( the wife stays home, dad brings home the bacon and calls the shots), and there are familes where things are the opposite of that ( either the dad stays home, or he works but the mom still calls the shots)...and bringing those two together is what will make the most sparks fly. While it's just as common to have a give and take relationship, where both parents work, do stuff around the house, and care for the kids, if you brought two families that were both that balanced together, likely everyone would get along okay and it wouldn't be interesting. So why would they show something that wouldn't be good TV? Seems pretty obvious.

No one likes a misogynist or poor grammar.
