wasn't there a parady?

It seems like I saw a parody of this somewhere. It might have been on a sitcom or a TV movie, because I remember how upset I was when I missed a big bit of it due to the commercial breaks. The real show had actually come back on, but I thought it was a commercial for the show that was actually being parodied. (Hey, it was a very convincing parody!)
