Fountain vs Flowers

Eventhough it is like Elephant vs Ant, it is one of the most interesting coincidence of the cinema. Two filmmakers, one from the east and one from the west, one with 4million $ another with 40 million, take off on a same theme -love across ages. Result I liked Fountain but I loved Valley of Flowers. Being a real indie it has very little chance of reaching US or getting a wider release. There is no advertising budget what so ever... However I highly recommand this movie to those in search of real adventure of another kind... It is bold. Has anyone seen the Valley of Flowers? Would love to hear your comments.

I haven't seen this so i don't really have an opinion but i really loved The Fountain so i think it is a bold statement to compare them to "Elephant and Ant". But still i didn't see Valley of Flowers.

I have seen both films, and i can see what you mean by comparing them, but the real touching point of these films is love in a mystical way, a mystic love as something supreme. Aranofski and Nalin are definitely the most talented young directors today. The biggest difference between these two films is the way that they have been made, Nalin did a perfect Oriental Mystic story, and Aranofsky a pure Occidental one, and they are opposing compliments.
Outstandingly beautiful are the two of them pure teners.
