Did anyone else cry when...

... Woman in Dress and Hat turned around. Most powerful moment IMO.

I thought it was just me!! I was with the wife and when that scene popped up, I pretended to sneeze to my whimpers...

It is just a woman turning around,
calm down...

Oh definately. It depressed me for about a week afterwards. And to think, this happens in real life. Women turn around wearing hats every day.

we can be heroes, just for one day

To be honest I thought that scene weighed the whole film down and made it drag. It should have been cut both for its slow pacing and on moral grounds.

Oh great, another moralizing blue-nose conservative trying to tell us how to adorn our heads and how to position our bodies. Listen, if consenting hat-wearing adults choose to turn around, who are you to say it's wrong? Get out of the 18th century and into the 19th, please: there's only 12 years left in this century and then we'll have to shoot McKinley. Sheesh.

i ran out of tissue.

Oh definitely, Harriet Hartley was such a WIDAHTAILF. She didn't need to bear her ankles like all the other hussies were doing at the time. Just walking backwards and showing the tips of her toes was all she needed to do to get the menfolk riled up.

...and when she turns and walks away... makes my heart ache every time.

I cried with delight, I saw her ankle!
