Anyone else walk out of the theater?

I started it, couldn't finish. Demanded a refund from the ticket office; they said I had already watched too much of it.

You missed out! I stayed for the credits.

I made it as far as the guy starting to walk across the garden, but then it all got a bit far fetched for me.

The movie was fine; the worst part was those endless previews beforehand for "Fred Ott's Sneeze," "Rip and the Dwarf," "Electrocuting an Elephant" etc. Christ those previews just go on and on and on ...

Pbbbbt, it figures. Yet another troglodyte who fails to comprehend the subtle genius of European cinema. I pity you and your inability to comprehend the intricate plot of RGS. When the actors walk around seemingly aimlessly, they are really mocking dunderheads like you who walk out of beautifully crafted films like RGS, so jokes on you fella.

Why don't you just go ahead and stick to the easily accessible slapstick humor of Monkeyshines 1-3, that's probably more your speed.

Same here.

In fact, as soon as I got home, I wrote a review on IMDb, but back then, the people running the place were total jerks, and every bad review or bad comment about a movie carried a 50 years ban... phew! I have survived a couple of those bans myself, and thankfully, in the 1990s the people running IMDb got more open minded.
