Josh Hartnett's best role

deconstructing, i totally completely 100% agree with you. this was josh hartnett's best performance ever. i just watched it and was blown away. i will go as far to say he should've been at least nominated for an oscar for this.

It was definitely his best acting performance. Anybody who claims he can't act should watch this film. He was very good. Too bad he didn't promote the movie.

Yes! Hartnett was a revelation. He is one of the best young actors out there. I thought Lucky Number Slevin and August were tied for his best role, but he owned this role; he blew those previous performances away! Unfortunately, he seems to have basically disappeared. I hope to see more in roles that showcase his considerable talent in the very near future.

I liked him a lot in The Virgin Suicides, but yeah, this might just about top his haunted work there.
