Mozart and the Whake

While not an expert with autism and Asperger's, I do know a couple of children living with opposite extremes of this syndrome. I agree with those who don't think this is an accurate portrayal. It is Hollyeood after all. Also, each person is different in how they perceive their world and interact with those it. This is very much true also for people without autism. As a highly romantic person, I saw this movie as a triumph of love over the difficulties of interaction between any two people. And, how two people must overcome their fears and merge their wants and needs to build a mutually supportive relationship. Love really is about two people who can't live without each other. But, who must also figure out how to live together. Again, it is one Holkywood reality play about two unique people. One must not forget that everyone is uniquely different. That any relationship is challenged most by the conflicts between each participant.

For me, this movie is more about that challenge. To learn to live together after first realizing they can't live without each other. That part of live is universal.
