So, is this true??

OK, I saw this movie last night, and i was quite impressed by some of
the stories.

I would like someone from South Korea to comment, are these kind of
things really happening in South Korea. Like the story about boy and
tongue surgery and that one about the girl that is too "Fat" to get a
job (and what is it about eyelids):O Do comment plz, anyway I think
everyone should see this movie, it has some very good stories. And as
for bed ones if nothing else, then they show something that (I guess)
most ppl from other cultures never knew.

Btw sorry for spelling. :)

LOL it happens all around the world. Right here in the US. Were i live, oppression against sex, race, weight, class. yea.. its old news.

But awsome of the film to address the issues in such a conformist homogeneous and extremely patriotic country like korea. BTW im a Korean American so i dont know if the tongue things happens.

i don't agree, it doesn't happen all around the world, not in the same way i mean: if you're fat and ugly some jobs will be more difficult for you to get, maybe, but no-one would ever behave like those teachers here and dare to say such things, it would be really too sexist.
The tongue tie thing is true, i had heard about it, and i can't understand the scientifical "reason", are korean genetically programmed to speak bad english????? strange idea. anyway, once again, who ever would do such a thing to a child in order to speak not even his native language but a foreign one???
i found this movie pretty brilliant but difficult to understand if you don't know korean culture.

I'm watching it right now and had to visit the IMDB page because I just don't understand the film.

What the heck is wrong with those eyelids? Sorry but I don't see any difference, could someone eplain this to me?
And why can't girls be big in school?

I'm totally confused by this movie...
