I don't get why they make films like these. Who cares ? Where's the entertainment value ?

This a very virtuous film, the big write-up about how this is all true and it could happen to anyone and how good it is that someone is making a film about it can't be faulted. But I saw it on the box the other night and it felt like the longest film I had ever sat through. Acting - subtle. Cinematography - lovely. Sript - self-indulgent, repetitive, contrived, messy. Editing - lethargic. Why do so many Australian films, and TV shows, have such lousy scripts when everything else is great?

This would have made a decent 40 minute TV drama. It could have made a good film, but not from that book, I suspect, at least not with the author involved.

But I loved the acting.

I thought that this movie was crap, although i only watched half of it... then i decided it was too boring and turned it off.
