Off the Map or Slane Castle?

I personally feel Slane Castle did better at blowing me away. Frusciante's brilliance is well-displayed in Slane. Off the Map was superb too but perhaps the lightings was a little dim which is why it didn't blow me away like Slane did. However, both are a must have! Cheers!

I must agree,
Slane was a much better prefromance in my opion and John was much more into the concert thean he useally is from The Off the map DVD and whean ive seen theam live a few times, This is defnitly a keeper for anyone who is a big Red Hot Chili Peppers fan.

I must admit though its a bit dissapointed that their is no backstage footege,or produceing the concert or nothing, Not even post show comments by the guys theamselfs,..

Also that day at Slane was a festivale sort of way many bands includeing
Audioslave and Queens of the Stone Age prefromed their (at diffrent times of chourse. But I belive a extended verison can be orderd for Audioslaves website..
Its a good DVD overall, Amazon.com has sold out of theam!

Hey, I was there, and saw them live the following year in Pheonix Park. They were outstanding at Slane, great at P.P. as well but Slane was special. Oh ya, QOTSA did play but audioslave have never played Slane, you might have been thinking of the Foo Fighters maybe?!

The only time I caught them live was in Singapore. They gave such a brilliant and energetic performance. It was worth my 100 bucks to see Frusciante and Flea doing their special connection jams. It was a treat! But I heard that for the event company in Singapore to bring them over to play would be costly. The cost would then be passed to the consumers. 100 bucks was the cheapest tickets ya'know. But it was better than Rolling Stones. The latter were way way more expensive. Some up to 500 dollars. Dang..

Hi,

I watched them at Hyde Park on the 20th June 2004.

They were brilliant. Some people complained of the sound setup on our bbc/radio1 website but I was so close I couldn't tell that it may not have sounded all that great.

I paid £ 45 GBP for mine and my mates tickets, which was slightly more expensive than advertised initially, ( £35.) It was totally worth it though, we were 2 people amongst VIP's and other lucky ticket holders that were in the front railings for the gig.

If you look in the "Live at Hyde Park Album" cover, you can see the separation barrier. I did feel sorry for all of those behind it but at the same time I felt special!

The on stage performance of all of the band was brilliant! I totally agree with that guy when he makes reference to G'n R.

I have experienced a lot of bands in my time, mostly through LP's or CD's but there are only a few which have "That Thing."

Being able to combine bass, lead, drums and singing so that it all appears to be one motion must not be easy to achieve........

I use to listen to dance music only, up until the age of 14 / 15. My mate who I went to Hyde Park with, introduced me to hip-hop / rap and then I blossomed from there.

My middle sister and her boyfriend bought "By the way" on cd because they liked the tracks that they heard on the radio. I said to them well you have to get cali + blood sugar sex because they, in my opinion, are the ultimate albums of their era.

I would recommend to anyone that goes to a gig at Hyde Park to buy the Gold anywhere or standing tickets just so you can be at the front. Once you've been Gold you don't want to go any aother way, (apart from back stage!.)

I love Gold!!!!!!!!!!
