why is this the first time i've heard about this??? and billie joe armstrong?? wtf??? i've heard him say many times in interviews hes not an actor and never wants to be...and now hes in a film?? anyone even know what its actually about?

nah hes done some little bit parts. I remember when that episode of "haunted" with him in came on tv. I was just watching wondering if it was acyually him cuz it was so understated, but his name was in the credits at the end.

The movie Amreican Idiot, if the make it, will be based on the American Idiot album. I really hope it gets made, because it is one kick ass CD.

There is no actor named Billie Joe Armstrong in this film, nevermind it being the lead singer of Green Day. This is a mistake made by IMDB.
sharedo you know this for sure? wait, what the hell do i care? anyway, about the beginning of this thread, he has said that he hates Hollywood, and he hates actors, but he's also said he hates musicians, and he's a musician... he's a walking contradiction (no, pun intended)and there you go. and i am terrified of them making a movie for American Ididot cause they (whoever's making it) could totally *beep* it up! the concept behind the album is so perfect and intricate that if the movie is not treated with the same creative delicacy, it could be a total piece of s*** and ruin what the album represents. the writers and directors will really have to do some artistic homework to capture the essence and brilliance of the album. and, yeah, im just ranting, and i know this isn't really the place, but since it's not a movie yet, there's not a board for it yet... but im done now.
shareFrom what I know, Green Day would be heavily involved in the making of American Idiot. Plus it will be a rock opera (since American Idiot IS a rock opera) so the only thing they could screw up are the visuals. But with Billie and the others around, I don't think that will happen.
