Not the worst movie I've ever seen. Super scary for half of it!

Now, I'm a huge wimp when it comes to movies about the supernatural that involve ghosts in any sort of way. I can take movies about aliens, slasher flicks, etc. I love zombie movies. But ghost stories FREAK ME OUT, and I thought the little girl was a ghost, so maybe I'm not the right person to give an opinion...but every time they were running around in the desert, I was on the edge of my feet. When their car started shaking, and they got out and it start moving...holy cow.

The actors weren't the best, particularly Dylan, and the fighting was ANNOYING.

By the end it was not difficult at all to figure out what was going on. I don't feel like I need a second watch to get it.

The soundtrack was GREAT. Anyone know what the song was in the end? I caught snatches of lyrics, like "fell into the deepest blue", but Google isn't turning anything up...

All in all, I think it's more decent than a lot of folks are giving it credit for. If you have to be handheld through a movie and spoonfed every single detail, with no mystery or subtlety whatsoever, then yeah...you'll hate this movie. If you like movies that are a little bit weird and more about EXPERIENCING the ambiance, this is the one for you.

Here's hoping James Lay doesn't get discouraged by the negative reactions and continues to hone his art.

By the way, if you want another weird, unknown movie about time travel, check out Idaho Transfer: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071647/
