yeah he is quite the pimp.

one question tho, in the episode just before Sophia returns to the Emperor, when her and Claus are sitting on the deck and she kisses him...

the next day someone asks Claus 'Where were you last night?' and he seems REALLY upset when he finds out Sophia left without telling him, this, for me at least, brings up one question........

did he tap that?

reply

Who knows, many loose ends. But certainly great story.

Happy endings are just stories that haven't finished yet

i highly doubt he "tapped" that.

It kind of seemed to me as if the vanships were symbolic of relationships".pilots and their "navigators" being intrigle to the plot.

Claus tried flying with different navigators in different vanships, but Lavie was his first, his last and his most precious.

Dio and Alex were symbolic of the pain of those who lost their navigators, while Claus just couldn't pick one, lol.

That is a very interesting idea. I never thought of that. I also thought it was great just how the dramatic moments between these characters were handled. The story shows a dynamic interaction between Claus and these women. Alister, Tatiana's navigator puts this in motion when she joins the rest of the crew at the casino after her fractured friendship with Tatiana reaches a certain breaking point and she winds up interacting with Claus. This plays into Tatiana's episode with Claus in the desert and later Lavie's devastated reaction to what she thinks happened between them. Both Tatiana and Lavie get the wrong impression about Claus just as he misunderstands what Sophia intended by kissing him. Tatiana is set straight by Alister who has a better grasp of who Claus is. Sophia's kiss in one way marks Claus's awakening of forming a new and different type of bond with someone, but he has not realized yet that he can do that with someone other than Sophia. Lavie's reaction to seeing Tatiana in Claus's clothes also acts as her awakening towards this notion to forming a romantic emotional bond with a boy she knew most of her life.

Pretty much all the relationships between the principal characters appear to be in constant flux especially with Claus and Lavie ,who seem impossible to pin down for too long, with the exception of Alvis and Claus. Their relationship is well defined from the first moment they meet till the end of the series and acts as a counter point and center piece to all the variables between the other characters.
