Sorry. The guy was too much a cold fish to inspire anything other than boredom in me. Maybe when I get my hands on disk 6 I'll have a different opinion.

i think they might have developped his character more, to make him more interestin, not so two dimentional...
I loved Alex. :D He was my favorite character. Majorly badass.
shareyup, Alex is a super-pimp, as previously mentioned when he takes out the guys at the auction, **SPOILERS** and also when he take out FOUR Urbanus class ships with the Silvana (we'll gloss over the fact that the fifth one takes them down ;) ) not to mention that in the English Dub he's voiced by Crispin Freeman, the coolest VA ever ;) not quite cool enough to make me watch the English Dub, but still very cool.

and although he dies, at least he gets his Revenge of Maestro Delphine first, and in a pretty pimp way, I kinda think he didn't mind dieing, knowing that he'd got revenge, and soon he'd be with Euris.
He's definitely my favorite character. His extremely phlegmatic and grim manner just seems to suggest that he's always in complete control of the situation. Just the kind of captain you'd follow into Hell and back. I also like how he's always like this, and never shows a soft side, unlike similar characters in other series. Kinda reminded me of Guts from the Berserk manga; just as much of a callous bastard, but much less excitable.
