thanks for the recommendation of 'Boy' Dearnanator. have it in my 3X5 card deck of MustSee movies now.

ummm, but then there's the English issue. happens this californian old fart is half deaf, so even with other english language features gotta enable captions to fully appreciate stuff. and in this case in particular absent captioning (OnDemand via comcast's Foreign Film Channel) authentic NZ accents rendered me clueless about most of the goings on.

ah well.
