documentary?

If this was supposed to be a documentary why was there a "re-inactment" scene at the beginning? And the sensationalist footage of electro-convlusive shock therapy was over the top. And, why was it not narrated instead of the distracting text splattered on the screen? I watched 14 minutes of this film before I turned it off. This was a complete waste of my 6 dollar video rental and I'm tempted to ask the store for my money back.

You only wasted your money because you didn't have the patience to sit through the entire thing and listen to the Director's Commentary as well. The commentary clears up quite a bit of questions that people seem to have on these discussion boards. As for getting your money back, all I can say is I've rented a movie that sucked ass before and Blockbuster refused to give me my money back or give me a free rental in its place. I'm sorry if you feel you wasted your money though. Everyone makes mistakes. You just gotta learn to live with them.

I would have to agree that the re-enactments didn't work well for one reason, there is no way to know that they are re-enactments.

I didn't even know they were until I looked it up on imdb. It just seemed like a fake staged scene and its right up at the begining of the film so it starts off with a fizzle.....

Too crazy for boystown; too much of a boy for crazytown.

You shouldn't have to watch a commentary of a film to have it explained. The movie ought to do that itself.

And for the record, this film was absolutely awful.

Whose record?

Go rent something by Michael Bay. You'll get your "money's worth."

well actually, I have several old records from the likes of ROBOTIKO REJEKTO and other RAZORMAIDS!

An awful movie that a fair number of people in the biz were able to exploit for a bit of financial gain. Maybe Jonathan knows he was the one exploited here and doesn't care. Nice ride to be taken for.

2 points:
1) It couldn't have been that bad if we are all still talking about it three years later. Who looks for discussion boards about Goodburger?
2) Technically, it wasn't really that nice a ride. Sure, there were trips to film festivals and the like, and shloads of swag, but he was reamed on the "partnership" and the taxes. 'Nuff said.
