Yep in the Kiama region there were plans to bulid a McDonalds eatry and the locals petitioned to be halted and won!
Sorry we really don't want those junk food outlets in our area, we have our own cafes and healthy eateries (and it shows...less obesity compared to neighboring suburbs.

Good for you. I attended college in the early '70s and my only choice of cuisine was the student union or the McDonalds across the boulevard from the campus. McDonalds was cheaper and tastier. I ate it four years and never gained a pound. Still alive too.

He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.
