84Charlie MoPic

I thought it was a pretty decent film. As a Marine Corps veteran I can say that I did participate in Enduring Freedom. I'm not sure which scenes where shot in India and which truely where in Afgahnistan but the message comes across as the same. Most of you who knock it would not want to wander the streets of Kabul. They're deadlier than Basra, Iraq. (Also been there)

Why does everybody keep screaming "Blair Witch"? I found this movie to be similiar to 84Charlie MoPic; which is also a mockumentary in this case about the Vietnam War. Both films were pretty decent at expressing the emotions that run through your body in those situations. Now I'm not an expert movie critic. But as a 24 year old combat veteran of two different wars; that's giving alot of credit.

Off topic question for you auto.... I have good friend stationed at Camp Gannon in Iraq right now and I have no idea how to find out what his mailing address is. I tried calling camp lajune where he is out of but the people who talk to you on the phone there are idiots and wouldnt help me. He is with the 3rd bat 6th Marines. Any ideas?

Sure no problem man. I know how dumb those Marines can be. I was and always will be one. I'm not sure but I think you could call 703-784-3941/3942/3943 Mon-Fri 8am till 4pm east coast time. That's the Marine Locator office number in Quantico VA headquarters of the Marines. Just say your a cousin of his and need a mailing address cuz his aunt died. Hope it can help you out.

Good to see that at least Ex-Marines can appreciate what this movie was trying to say. As an ex-Marine and a war veteran myself, I have to say that it captures reality better than most documentaries do. Plot was not spectacular, effects were not "hollywood" worthy, but neither are real explotions. The crew of this movie had more backbone than most people do. If you see the behind the scenes, they do claim to actually go to Kabul, and call me a sucker if I'm wrong, but it looks very convincing.

I feel the same way about Marines by the way, he he
