I don't understand why the characters keep talking about speaking Farsi when that is not a language spoken in Afghanistan. You would want a translator who speaks Pashtu, and hopefully some Erdu, but you would not need one who speaks Farsi unless you're planning to go to Iran. This movie is retarded.
shareI know this is an old topic, but it seems the OP was looking in the mirror when passing judgment on Septem8er Tapes. Dari, a dialect of Persian, is one of the two official languages of Afghanistan, along with Pashto. It would therefore make perfect sense for the film's characters to "keep talking about speaking Farsi."
Think before you criticize others.
