going through the motions

This movie was a huge disappointment. I wasn't expecting good acting (good job really) but I WAS expecting decent, well choreographed fight scenes. Every kick Don 'the dragon' threw looked like it had to travel through syrup to get where it was going. The fight scenes were executed like it was an exercise in 'paint by numbers'. A few times, inexcusably, the block was there seconds before any attack was initiated. VERY poor. This guy used to be fast and accurate. He's not even that old, what's his excuse? The only way I can accept this hum drum 'I've got a few spare bucks, so I'll throw a movie together with some old friends' piece of celluloid crud is if we call it a kids' movie, kids from 6 to 12 years old, maximum. What are credible martial artist doing in stuff like this, surely they don't need the money???Cynthia Rothrock is an awesome martial artist, as are most of the professionals dragged in to appear. What the hell is going on in this industry? Since when did mediocrity and banality become acceptable to them as bonafide artists in their field? I KNOW they must be sitting in a pool of their own tears right now thinking, "What did I do"????
Bah.
