If I was a Rush fan at this (or the Germany show), I'd be angry.

I saw Rush for the Permanent Waves tour, and Moving Pictures. Brilliant shows. Played a lot of songs.

But THIS? Crap...almost every other song is a big jam song, and not even the best of their jam songs. The Germany show I turned off at Tom Sawyer, and looking at the set list, it turns out that was a good idea.

Wow....throwing in lil bits and pieces of the songs many of us want to hear is not a good show. This is almost as bad as the 'new' Skynyrd playing MEDLEYS!!

I say almos, cuz these are at least the originals and they can still play amazing.

But as a concert goer (glad I couldnt afford it), Id have been fuming.

This is not a 'all the hits' thing either. I am a musician myslef , and I loathe 'lets play all the hits' bands. But Rush , in their day, had some amazing songs...hits or not...and to come out with a show like this that just throws most of pre-Signals stuff out the window...it's just not right.

Wooah there, ease off my friend.

Medleys?
Well when you have almost 40yrs of material on 19 studio albums (with a 20th coming soon) and only a 2.5hr show what do you suggest they do to satisfy as many people as possible?

I guess you can only satisfy some of the people some of the time, right?

Umm...YEAH...if I'm paying that kind of money to go see a concert, I want to be pleased. I DON'T want to hear every other song being a 'jam song'. Yes Rush is awesome at 'the jam', but when they have so many songs they could put into that mix RATHER than every other song being a 'jam song', I want to hear a song, not a jam.

When about an hour and 15 minutes or more of that 2.5 hours is a 'jam' , it's lazy.
