Least Favourite albums?

Everyone has been arguing over what their favourite Rush album is, I thought we should look @ the other side of the coin and say which ones we dislike the most.

Here goes:

1) Grace Under Pressure
2) Hold Your Fire
3) Power Windows
4) Caress of Steel

Very tough there ain't a terrible album, even my leasts favorites are still pretty good albums. But here are my bottom 5.

1.Presto- The Pass is great though
2.Test For Echo- Color of Right is a gem here
3.Roll the Bones- Love Bravado
4.Rush(self titled)- More of preview of whats to come
5.Vapor Trails- Would be higher but the production is what reduces it for me, although Earthshine is great

Here are mine:

1. Caress Of Steel (Awfull album! Shame on Rush!)
2. Rush (No Neil, no Rush!)
3. Vapor Trails (Freeze and Earthshine are exellent though!)

This is an easy choice for me. Worst album by Rush:
Snakes & Arrows. One good song (Far Cry) and loads of boring songs that are way below their normal song quality. A close second is Presto. When that came out I was outraged at how bad the bad songs are. I love 5 of the 11 songs on Presto: Show Don't Tell, The Pass, War Paint, Presto, and Available Light. But the overall grade of the album is a C-minus at best. How is that possible? Take into account that Scars, StupidConductor, Anagram and Hand Over Fist are easilly 4 of their worst songs EVER and you got a bad album overall. I never thought they'd ever make an album worse than Presto, and then Snakes & Arrows came out and I was proved wrong. It's a shame.

I agree with you on Snakes and Arrows, but I enjoy many songs on Presto.

Been going to Rush concerts (at least once per tour) since 1986. There are no really bad Rush albums, but here goes:

Feedback...a cover album, really? Geddy's voice doesn't cross-train well either.

Test for Echo...their heart just wasn't in this one. Pretty forgettable. Resist and Driven are okay.

Vapor Trails...some songs on this album play great live, but overall it isn't one of their best efforts.

Roll the Bones...A decent album with a couple of very good songs, but definitely low on my Rush list. They could have skipped the Rush Rap on title track.

Caress of Steel...an ambitious album, but way too over the top even for a progger like me and the sound quality isn't too hot. Once in a blue moon I will play the whole thing, but doesn't parcel out very well. I do like Lakeside Park.

Hold Your Fire...a pretty sounding album, but way too soft and synthed up. Still, I always like hearing Force 10 and Time Stand Still.

That's about it for the low-lights. If I had to rank their studio albums, here is how I would do it:

1981 Moving Pictures
1982 Signals
1978 Hemispheres
1977 A Farewell to Kings
1980 Permanent Waves

1984 Grace Under Pressure
1985 Power Windows
2012 Clockwork Angels
1976 2112
1975 Fly by Night
2007 Snakes & Arrows
1974 Rush
1993 Counterparts
1989 Presto

1987 Hold Your Fire
1975 Caress of Steel
1991 Roll the Bones
2002 Vapor Trails
1996 Test for Echo
2004 Feedback
