What did the movie mean to you?

Masterpiece? Awesome? Brilliant? Maybe people use those words because they are short on vocabulary. I would certainly call it unique and provoking.

One clever message I took away is how the revolutionary figure misunderstands gay men.

Religious figures, Philosophers, Doctors, Judges, Politicians, Psychiatrists, and Governments have all made their false interpretations and judgments of gays over time.

In Raspberry Reich, the leader adopts same sex affection as merely a political statement against the status quo. However, the movie is clear that some men are truly gay and truly love each other, other men might practice same sex affection now and then because they are in the closet, or perhaps bisexual. But in the end the revolutionary leader abandons her ridiculous dogma. The revolutionary dogma about gays, just like the dogma that has been spread by other factions in the real world, is not worthy.
