Ignores 'CURSE OF THE PUPPET MASTER' don't you think?

Aside from showing some footage, does anyone agree with me that this movie ignores Curse of the Puppet Master? Seriously, it mentions nothing of a timeline really, so CURSE is never revealed as a prequel or sequel. And the way LEGACY is put together, it feels like LEGACY is set sometime after part 5, and CURSE never happened at all.

It's like Full Moon just wanted more death footage so they slipped some scenes in whether it fit in the 'timeline' or not.

Curse probably wasn't worth mentioning anyway... what a waste.

Yes, some people have told me it's the weak link of the series. Most fans disliked it, much like Rocky V.

But still, even I couldn't ignore CURSE.

Tank didn't want to be a puppet so he was killed by Jane perhaps? Or Peter hid him somewhere, if CURSE could fit into the storyline?

The only thing I know after watching this is for some reason, they ignore the 1989 events of Puppet Master and the events of Puppet Master 5. All we know is that Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys takes place after this movie.
